CCCCA 的使命，是传承与弘扬中华语言与文化，服务克利夫兰地区的华人社区和多元文化社群，促进中美文化交流与相互理解。
我们相信：文化不是陈列在博物馆里的标本，而是流淌在日常生活中的活水。每一次课堂上的朗朗书声，每一个春节晚会上的笑容，每一场社区讲座中的深入交流——都是文化在生根、在发芽、在枝繁叶茂。
我们相信：语言不只是沟通的工具，更是身份的根基。当一个华裔孩子能用中文读出”床前明月光”的时候，他读出的是一个民族千年的审美和情感。当中文学校的学生站上朗诵比赛的舞台，用流利的中文讲述中国故事的时候，我们看到的不仅是语言的传承，更是文化自信的萌芽。
我们相信：社区的力量来自于每一个人的参与。三十多年来，CCCCA 之所以能够从一间小教室走到今天，靠的不是任何一个人的力量，而是一代又一代志愿者前赴后继的接力。我们做的不是轰轰烈烈的大事，而是每个周末准时打开教室的门，每个春节搭好晚会的舞台，每个需要帮助的人打来电话时认真倾听——这些看似平凡的坚持，汇成了不平凡的力量。

The mission of CCCCA is to preserve and promote Chinese language and culture, to serve the Chinese-American community and the broader multicultural landscape of Greater Cleveland, and to foster mutual understanding between Chinese and American cultures.
We believe that culture is not an artifact preserved behind glass — it is a living current that flows through the fabric of daily life. Every child’s voice reciting poetry in Mandarin, every smile at a Lunar New Year celebration, every meaningful exchange at a community workshop — this is culture taking root, growing, and flourishing.
We believe that language is not merely a tool for communication — it is the foundation of identity. When a Chinese-American child can recite Li Bai’s “Thoughts on a Silent Night” in its original Chinese, she is connecting with a thousand years of aesthetic sensibility and emotional depth. When our students step onto a recitation contest stage and tell Chinese stories with confidence and fluency, what we witness is not only language preservation — it is the blossoming of cultural pride.
We believe that community is built through the participation of every individual. CCCCA grew from a single classroom to what it is today not because of any one person’s effort, but through a relay of dedication passed from one generation of volunteers to the next. The work we do is not grand or dramatic. It is opening the classroom door every Saturday morning. It is setting up the stage for every Lunar New Year gala. It is listening carefully when someone in need reaches out. These quiet, steady acts — multiplied over thirty years — have become something extraordinary.

我们期待有一天，当一个华裔孩子被问到”你是哪里人”时，她可以自信地说：”我是美国人，我的根在中国。”我们期待有一天，CCCCA 的春节晚会不会只是华人社区的盛事，而是整个克利夫兰翘首以盼的文化节日。

Our vision is a vibrant, welcoming hub for Chinese-American cultural exchange — where children of Chinese heritage take pride in their identity rather than feeling caught between worlds; where American friends experience the richness of Chinese traditions firsthand rather than as distant exotica; and where Greater Cleveland is genuinely enriched by the tapestry of cultures woven into its fabric.
We imagine a day when a Chinese-American child, asked “Where are you from?”, can answer with confidence: “I’m American — and my roots are in China.” We imagine a day when CCCCA’s Lunar New Year Gala is not just a highlight for the Chinese community, but a cultural celebration that all of Cleveland looks forward to.
